玉米纖維Corn Fiber(聚乳酸纖維，PLA纖維)

　　是以玉米淀粉為原料，經發酵轉化成乳酸再經聚合，紡絲而制成的合成纖維。

　　此纖維具有生物可降解性，玉米纖維輕柔滑順，強度大，吸濕透氣，加工的產品有絲綢般的光澤及舒適的肌膚觸感和手感，懸垂性佳，良好的耐熱性及抗紫外線功能，服用性能好。

　　PLA纖維是以淀粉制得之乳酸為原料，屬于完成自然循環型，具有生物降解性的纖維。該纖維完全不使用石油等化工原料，其廢棄物在土壤和海水中的微生物作用下，可分解成二氧化碳和水，不會污染地球環境。由于該纖維的初始原料為淀粉，其再生之循環周期短，大約為一至二年，其產生的二氧化碳可由植物光合作用減少在大氣中的含量。燃燒PLA纖維，幾乎沒有一氧化氮，其燃燒熱是聚乙烯和聚丙烯的三分之一左右。

    聚乳酸纖維是以人體內含有的乳酸作原料合成的乳酸聚合物，對人體而言是**安全的。經測試，以玉米纖維制成的圓形針織布不會刺激皮膚，且對人體健康有益，并有舒適感。

PLA纖維有許多突出的優點：
（1）原料來自于天然植物，容易生物降解，降解產物是乳酸、二氧化碳和水，是新一代環保型可降解聚酯纖維。
（2）有較好的親水性、毛細管效應和水的擴散性；
（3）模量和彎曲剛度是滌綸一半，故手感柔軟；
（4）有良好的回彈性、抗皺性和保形性；
（5）限氧指數較高（L0I 24-29），點燃后自熄性好、燃燒發煙量低，有較好阻燃性；
（6）有防紫外線能力，紫外線吸收率低；
（7）折射率低、染色制品顯色性好；
